Fighting to end prostate cancer through education and awareness.
Our mission is to save lives from prostate cancer through education and awareness.
We envision a world where no one dies from prostate cancer. A place where no one looses a brother, father, uncle, friend, boss or loved one to a disease that has the best chance of cure when it is found at an early stage. To achieve this we will empower men to make informed decisions about this deadly disease the numerous options available to them prior to a diagnosis either to themselves or to a loved one by connecting the dots between prostate cancer and blues music.
Founded by John Lupton, III, in 2015, PCa Blue is a 501c3 charitable organization established on the basic premise that men should be provided the knowledge they will need to make informed decisions about prostate cancer when they or a loved one are diagnosed with this deadly disease.
Through our outreach efforts and the commitment of the Blues Community we are using blues music to achieve our mission. With our national spokesman, GRAMMY® Award winning, Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, Buddy Guy, we have launched a national online awareness campaign and are hosting a series of blues events around the country to connect the dots between prostate cancer and blues music.
We jumped “out of the box and into the blues” to make sure we can reach as many men and their loved ones as possible. This unique approach allows us to reach countless people with these messages and the net proceeds of our events support organizations working in the prostate cancer and blues communities. See a list of who benefits from our fundraising efforts HERE!
In 2017 we had tremendous success and saved lives. We hosted more than 10 events, traveled around the country and were featured in the media. Check out the cool things we did in 2017 on our Year In Review 2017.
In 2018 we are focusing launching a nationwide campaign to encourage people to talk about prostate cancer. The more we talk about this disease that impacts 1 in 9 men the more men will be empowered to learn about their risk and make an informed plan for screening. And for those that have been diagnosed with prostate cancer we will help them on this journey. No one is alone. We look forward to sharing the personal battles, stories and experiences of those that have been touched by this disease.
PCa Blue is fortunate to have team members from all walks of life bringing a wide range of expertise to our programs and events.
